The day has come as I knew it eventually would. Guess in the back of my mind I hoped it wouldn't come so soon. I haven't really been trying to sell her. I advertised her previously on TT.NET for $8500 and got no serious interest, so I committed myself to go all out and build her properly. But, I do have a retail car business and keep her parked out under my carport at work while I'm there in an attempt to stimulate potential buyers :) Long story short: A young guy that has looked at the Z several times in admiration and talked to me about the car came in this evening. He was driving his '04 Nissan Titan truck (27k Miles, paid for, title in hand) and asked me what kind of deal we could work on the Z. I took him for a ride, slid around a few corners, snapped his neck good and he was sold. I hit him first with an "even swap deal." Then let him work me up to "the Z plus $1000." Bottom line: I have the local Nissan store committed to the Titan at $13100; therefore, I'll net $12100 for the Z. A deal I just couldn't pass up from an economical standpoint. I knew I'd probably never see that kind of money again on a Recon Title Z with 141k miles, though she is a rock solid A-Plus TT. I'll now be on the lookout for a good '94-'95 TT.
